What is Claying or Clay Bar?

The process of claying a vehicle prior to laying down wax or polishing is extremely important. It removes any contamination on the paint surface. Washing doesn’t completely do this. Washing just removes the surface dirt, not the contamination embedded in the paint surface. This is why after washing your car the paint still feels rough. But after claying, the vehicle paint is silky smooth. This allows me to lay down a coat of wax that actually bonds to the paint surface, not the contamination on the surface. All vehicles should be clayed prior to polishing or laying down a premium wax. I don’t charge extra for claying like many other companies do, it is built into my value priced service menu.

What is Polishing/ Buffing?

Polishing/ Buffing is the processes of removing oxidation, fine scratches, and imperfections in the paint surface of your vehicle, along with producing an amazing shine. We accomplish this by using a Dual Action Polishing machine or on rare occasions a High Speed Rotary. The Dual Action machine is great because it doesn’t leave any “buffer trails/ holograms/ or “swirl marks” in your car’s paint. We actually remove swirl marks and other imperfections all the time from customer’s cars, after an inexperienced detailer has gotten their hands on it. The polishing technique we use was developed over years of polishing cars, so you can be assured of the quality of our work. What is Waxing?

Waxing a car protects the paint after it’s clayed and/ or polished. It will provide shine to the paint as long as the paint isn’t oxidized. You can think of oxidation as a dulling of the paint. Chances are, if your paint looks dull and doesn’t have that “pop” to it anymore, it has accumulated oxidation on it. Wax will NOT remove this oxidation. Only polishing can remove it. Car detailing Las Vegas is different than other parts of the country, because of the extreme temperatures during the summertime. Not all waxes will protect the paint in the hot Las Vegas sun because the melting point is too low. A regular pure carnuba wax will not last on your car. We use specially formulated synthetic waxes and paint sealants to protect your paint from the hot sun.
