Do you provide just car washes?
Yes, on a limited basis. Most of our hand washing customers are maintenance package clients. Our hand washes are far better quality than a drive thru car wash. It shows in the results. And we don’t scratch your paint with mechanical brushes or strip your wax with harsh chemicals.

How do you detail in the sun, I heard you can’t?
The sun is not the issue. The temperature of the vehicle’s paint is what matters. During the winter time in Las Vegas the heat from the sun does not have a pronounced effect on the temperature of the paint. It’s only during summer time when temperatures rise. We solve this with an EZ-up tent we carry on board our custom detailing trailer. The EZ-up tent blocks the sun’s hot rays. Along with the tent we set up, we have a special technique of keeping the paint cool. Its one of our trade secrets that we don’t want our competitors to know about.
Is Famous Auto Detailing Eco-Friendly?
Yes we are. We offer two types of hand car wash techniques, advanced “rinseless” and traditional washing. We use our special advanced “rinseless” method on vehicles that only have a very light layer of dirt/ dust on the paint, if it’s requested. The incredible technology of “rinseless” washes, the product we use, along with our technique produces a scratch free hand wash. So whether we use a traditional wash method or rinseless method, you can be assured we will get your vehicle clean without scratching it.
Claying, Waxing, And Polishing
What is Claying or Clay Bar?
The process of claying a vehicle prior to laying down wax or polishing is extremely important. It removes any contamination on the paint surface. Washing doesn’t completely do this. Washing just removes the surface dirt, not the contamination embedded in the paint surface. This is why after washing your car the paint still feels rough. But after claying, the vehicle paint is silky smooth. This allows me to lay down a coat of wax that actually bonds to the paint surface, not the contamination on the surface. All vehicles should be clayed prior to polishing or laying down a premium wax. I don’t charge extra for claying like many other companies do, it is built into my value priced service menu.
What is Polishing/ Buffing?
Polishing/ Buffing is the processes of removing oxidation, fine scratches, and imperfections in the paint surface of your vehicle, along with producing an amazing shine. We accomplish this by using a Dual Action Polishing machine or on rare occasions a High Speed Rotary. The Dual Action machine is great because it doesn’t leave any “buffer trails/ holograms/ or “swirl marks” in your car’s paint. We actually remove swirl marks and other imperfections all the time from customer’s cars, after an inexperienced detailer has gotten their hands on it. The polishing technique we use was developed over years of polishing cars, so you can be assured of the quality of our work. What Products do you use to detail my vehicle?
I use only professional products that have been hand selected through over 5 years of experience professionally detailing and paint correcting vehicles.
What is Waxing?
Waxing a car protects the paint after it’s clayed and/ or polished. It will provide shine to the paint as long as the paint isn’t oxidized. You can think of oxidation as a dulling of the paint. Chances are, if your paint looks dull and doesn’t have that “pop” to it anymore, it has accumulated oxidation on it. Wax will NOT remove this oxidation. Only polishing can remove it. Car detailing Las Vegas is different than other parts of the country, because of the extreme temperatures during the summertime. Not all waxes will protect the paint in the hot Las Vegas sun because the melting point is too low. A regular pure carnuba wax will not last on your car. We use specially formulated synthetic waxes and paint sealants to protect your paint from the hot sun.
